There are days when the nursery is better understood without too many words. These are the days when you can experience the quality of the nursery plants firsthand: not a label, but the result of daily work.

Walk into the growing fields in the morning, look along the rows of trees, listen to the machinery and watch the team move from one task to another. Those moments reveal what lies behind a tree ready for dispatch: not only years of cultivation, but close attention, method and many decisions made at the right time.

At TECNOVIVAI, the work changes with the seasons. Some periods are dedicated to lifting and preparing root-balled trees; at other times, container production takes centre stage. There are days for order preparation, pruning, inspections, potting-up and loading. Every stage has its own rhythm. Every tree requires a different eye. And every client—from gardener and landscape architect to landscape contractor and reseller—arrives with a specific requirement.

We never begin with an automatic “yes” or a blunt “no”. The first step is to understand what is genuinely required: the type of project, the client’s schedule, where the tree will be planted, the size or grade needed, and whether root-balled or container-grown trees are the better option.

This approach is rooted in the history of the Zecchina family: a practical agricultural story shaped by change, development and responsibility. TECNOVIVAI has grown without losing its direct relationship with people—both those who work within the company and those who rely on the nursery each day for a supply, a project or an important decision.

Nursery quality never happens by chance. It is built over years. It can be seen in straight trunks, well-managed crowns, healthy root systems and the ability to prepare an order accurately. It is also reflected in punctuality, because anyone working on a site or landscape project knows how much timing matters.

This is why we like to share what happens behind the scenes—not to present a picture-postcard image, but to show the work itself. A nursery is not only alive when the trees are in full leaf. It is equally active during the most operational months, when the team works in the fields, prepares for the season, inspects trees individually and builds the quality that clients will see later.

Visitors to TECNOVIVAI notice it immediately: the nursery is always moving. It does not stand still. It seeks new varieties, practical solutions and alternatives. It works to maintain stock availability, respond more effectively to enquiries and supply ornamental and standard trees for a wide range of projects, including avenues, parks, gardens, urban spaces, construction sites and landscape schemes.

That is exactly why a nursery visit matters: it allows clients to see what it means to select a tree before purchasing it. They can walk through the rows, compare sizes and forms, understand the differences between available specimens and speak directly with the people who grow and manage the trees every day.

For us, the growing field remains the starting point. Even when we discuss innovation, container production, sustainability or new markets, everything returns to the same essentials: the tree, the team and daily care.

A TECNOVIVAI tree represents more than a species or a size. It reflects a way of working.

Would you like to see our nursery for yourself? Tree quality does not begin on the day of sale. It begins much earlier, in the nursery’s daily work—across the growing fields, the team, the seasons, ongoing care and decisions made at the right time.

[47

post-3250","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-behind-the-scenes-at-the-nursery
